ACCELERATED ADMISSION: Complete and sign the Application for Admission, check the box indicating Accelerated Admission Process and submit it along with the deposit of $1,500, which is non-refundable. When the school receives the Accelerated Application for Admission, and Acceptance Letter, which includes a class date for your specific program and Enrollment Agreement, will be express mailed via Fedex to the student. Students entering our airline training programs will also be express mailed the airline background check, application, entrance evaluation profile, and other materials. The Enrollment Agreement outlines the course programs being offered, the price of these courses, credit for ratings held, and the pricing procedure for any remedial training necessary to achieve proficiency for these ratings. The Accelerated Admission process quickly provides confirmed entrance to specific programs beginning on dates selected by the applicant.
STANDARD ADMISSION: Complete and sign this Application for Admission, check the box indicating Standard Admission Process and submit it along with the application fee of $100, which is non-refundable. When the school receives the Application for Admission, an Acceptance Letter and Enrollment Agreement will be mailed to the student. The Enrollment Agreement outlines the programs being offered, the price of these programs, credit for ratings held, and the pricing procedure for any remedial training necessary to achieve proficiency for these ratings. The student must read and sign the Enrollment Agreement and return it to the school with an initial deposit of $1,500, which is non-refundable*. Upon receipt of the $1,500 tuition deposit, a Class Reservation letter will be sent confirming the class date.
DRIVING RECORD: All candidates must submit a certified true copy of their driving record history covering the past ten years or whatever the time period the particular state provides. Applicants who have been convicted of driving under the influence in the past three years, or receive more than three (3) moving traffic violations in the past three (3) years, may not be accepted for training in our airline training programs.
DOCUMENTATION: Upon arrival at the Academy, students must have a copy of all Pilot Certificates, a Class I Medical Certificate, proof of Education (High School diploma or equivalent), 10-year driving record and a passport.
NON-US CITIZENS:
All non-US Citizens must have a work permit or Green Card for the USA that has unrestricted re-entry to the USA. The individual must also complete the online Transportation and Security Administration background application and background check. The TSA application can be found online at www.flightschoolcandidates.gov and the GTA School ID Code is GUUA428B. Your training program will be the First Officer Program. Once you have completed the online application for TSA, you will then receive an email back from TSA indicating you must send a set of finger prints to them. The finger prints can either be taken here at GTA with the local Broward County Sheriffs office and a GTA employee accompanying you or you can follow the TSA instructions to have them taken in your area. Once TSA has received your finger prints they will complete the background check and email you and GTA notice that you may commence your training. Please note that you will need to have this entire process complete before you can receive credit for your training at GTA. OTHER DEPOSITS: A dormitory deposit of $250 must be received in advance to place the student on a space available list for dormitory accommodations at the Academy. Specific information to secure a space in the dormitory can be obtained by contacting the Dorm Manager at Ext. 211.
PROGRAM PAYMENTS: The First Officer Program payment is due on the first day of the IFR refresher course. The cost for our Instrument Refresher Course and all remedial training will be covered on a separate enrollment agreement. All remedial training must be completed and paid for before commencing the contracted course. Payment is accepted via credit card, certified cashiers check, money order, or traveler's check, made payable to Gulfstream Training Academy.
